Description
This course will cover the Fiscal Year 2025 code updates for ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the 2025 ICD-10-CM code set update on July 3, 2024, and the changes will be effective from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025. The update includes 252 new codes, 36 code deletions, and 13 code revisions. The majority of the changes will be in the Alphabetic Index and Tabular list. The ICD-10-PCS code set update for fiscal year (FY) 2025 includes 371 new codes for hospital inpatient procedures. There are also 61 deleted codes and no code revisions.
